نظمت لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية الأهلية بالعيون ضمن برنامجها الرمضاني " ليالي التنمية الاجتماعية " أمسية لشعراء مدينة العيون الشباب " ، وذلك على جولتين ، الجولة الأولى ضمت كل من الشعراء ، محمد بن سعود العيد ، أديب بن عبدالرحمن الغريب ، مفلح بن وسمي المغيرة ، عبدالله بن ابراهيم الزيد ، محمد بن ابراهيم الربيع ، عبدالعزيز بن خليفه الرجاء .
وضمت الجولة الثانية كل من الشعراء عبدالعزيز بن ابراهيم الماضي ، خالد بن عبدالرحمن السبيعي ، ناصر بن حمد المفرج ، عبدالرحمن بن وسمي المغيرة ، وتنوعت القصائد بين القصائدالوطنية ، والاجتماعية ، وأشادت بالقيادة ، وبعاصفة الحزم ، والدعاء لجنودنا البواسل المدافعين عن حياض الوطن ، وقد نالت الأمسية استحسان الحضور وتفاعلهم . أدار الأمسية أ. خالد بن فهد الشدي ، وبإشراف عضو اللجنة أ.حمزة بن جمعه المغيرة ، وفي ختام الأمسية القى رئيس اللجنة أ. سلمان بن سالم الجمل كلمة عرف فيها باللجنة وبرامجها ، مؤكداً دعم الدولة رعاها الله في تنمية المجتمع المحلي ،ثم أشاد بشاعرية الشعراء الشباب ، واعتبرهم امتداد للشعراء السابقين ، منوهاً بأن مدينة العيون منجبة للشعراء . وفي بادرة جميلة كرمت اللجنة الشعراء المخضرمين في مدينة العيون ، كما تم تكريم الراوية المعروف محمد بن سعد الحصوص ، وقد أشاد رئيس اللجنة بدور الراوية الحصوص حيث عاصر العديد من الشعراء القدماء ، كما كان له دور كبير في العرضة بمدينة العيون ، وقد ثمن الحصوص هذا التكريم ، بعد ذلك تم تكريم الشعراء المخضرمين ، والشعراء الشباب المشاركين في الأمسية .
