أكد روبرتو دونادوني المدير الفني للمنتخب الإيطالي بطل العالم أن كأس الأمم الأوروبية (يورو 2008) المقامة حاليا بالنمسا وسويسرا ليست هي مشهد النهاية للفريق الفائز بكأس العالم 2006 بألمانيا.

وقال دونادوني في مؤتمر صحفي عقده اليوم الاثنين: "هذه ليست النهاية لأي شيء ، كل ما في الأمر أن اللاعبين أصبحوا أكثر نضجا ، وعلينا ألا ننسى توازن القوى الكبير الذي تشهده البطولة الحالية".

وتخوض إيطاليا غدا الثلاثاء لقاء مصيريا في المجموعة الثالثة أمام فرنسا وصيفتها في كأس العالم 2006 ولا بديل أمامها سوى الفوز بعد أن خسرت المباراة الأولى أمام هولندا صفر/3 وتعادلت مع رومانيا 1/1 .

وأوضح دونادوني أنه رغم حاجته الماسة للانتصار ، إلا أنه لن يتمكن من الدفع بستة مهاجمين على سبيل المثال ، بل سيسعى لحفظ التوازن بين الدفاع والهجوم.

وأضاف: "أريد لاعبين جاهزين ذهنيا وبدنيا للعب بتركيز كبير في واحدة من أهم المباريات الكبيرة ، لا نفكر في لقاء هولندا (أمام رومانيا) بل نفكر في إنجاز مهمتنا نحن".

يذكر أنه في حالة فوز رومانيا على هولندا ، التي ضمنت صدارة المجموعة ، يخرج المنتخبان الإيطالي والفرنسي من الدور الأول.
