إيزيبيو متفائل بفرص البرتغال في يورو 2008

أعرب أسطورة كرة القدم البرتغالية السابق إيزيبيو عن تفاؤله بشأن فرص منتخب بلاده في كأس الأمم الأوروبية الثالثة عشر (يورو 2008) المقامة حاليا في النمسا وسويسرا.

وقال إيزيبيو في تصريحات نقلها الموقع الرسمي للبطولة اليوم الأحد إن الأجواء في معسكر البرتغال تذكره بمناخ "العائلة" الذي سيطر على الفريق البرتغالي حين تأهل للدور قبل النهائي لكأس العالم عام 1966 بإنجلترا.

وأوضح إيزيبيو أن البرتغال لا يمكنها الاعتماد على نجمها كريستيانو رونالدو فقط قائلا "لم أكن ألعب بمفردي في الماضي. كان زملائي يعاونوني والأمر نفسه ينطبق على رونالدو فهو أحد أفضل اللاعبين حاليا ولكنه بحاجة لدعم زملائه أيضا".

واعتبر النجم السابق إيزيبيو الملقب بالفهد الأسود أن البرتغال قادرة على تحقيق أكثر مما جنته في البطولة الأوروبية الماضية حين نالت المركز الثاني بين جماهيرها بعد خسارتها في النهائي 1/2 أمام اليونان.
